Education key to unlocking Nigeria’s potential, says Atiku

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has highlighted education as the key to unlocking Nigeria’s vast potential and driving socio-economic development, national unity, and stability. Speaking at a graduation ceremony in Abuja, he stressed the need for adequate funding and entrepreneurship-focused curricula, noting the transformative role education has played in his own life. Recalling his experience with American Peace Corps teachers in 1961, he said their presence shaped his academic journey and inspired the adoption of American-style education in his schools. The event also underscored the role of education in equipping students to make meaningful societal contributions.
