Edo Queens Shortlisted for CAF Women’s Club of the Year Award
Edo Queens have been included in the final shortlist for the 2024 CAF Women’s Club of the Year award, alongside African champions TP Mazembe and AS FAR of Morocco.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) made the announcement on Thursday, recognizing the Benin City-based club for their impressive performances.
Earlier in the year, Edo Queens clinched the WAFU B Women’s Champions League title, showcasing their dominance in West Africa as they are now aiming to make history by becoming the first Nigerian team to win the prestigious CAF Women’s Club of the Year award. Their inclusion in the final shortlist highlights their rise in continental women’s football.
The winner of the award will be announced during the ceremony in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday, December 16. This event promises to be a significant moment for the club as they vie for recognition on the African stage.
