Côte d’Ivoire Withdraws as Host of 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations

Côte d’Ivoire has withdrawn from hosting the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations just weeks before its scheduled start from April 26 to May 18. The Ivorian Football Federation confirmed the government’s decision to step down, notifying the federation on March 25 as reports indicate that the Confederation of African Football is in talks with Egypt to take over as host, while the top four teams from the competition will qualify for the 2025 U-20 World Cup in Chile.
