Chelsea Striker Nicolas Jackson Ruled Out for Up to Eight Weeks

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that striker Nicolas Jackson will be sidelined for six to eight weeks due to a muscular injury sustained during the team’s win over West Ham, with Marc Guiu also out with a similar hamstring issue.
While Romeo Lavia and Benoit Badiashile are close to full fitness, Wesley Fofana has returned to training but needs a few more weeks before being match-ready.
Maresca dismissed rumors of a setback for Reece James, stating that the defender remains available. Despite attacking injuries, he remains confident in finding solutions within the squad, mentioning Christopher Nkunku as a possible makeshift striker, though he sees him primarily as an attacking midfielder. He also suggested that wide players like Pedro Neto, Noni Madueke, or Tyrique George could be deployed in a false No. 9 role while adjusting the team’s playing style to compensate for the absence of a traditional striker.
