CHAN 2024: Nduka Junior Says Super Eagles Will Give Their Best Despite Not Being Favorites

January 7, 2025

Nduka Junior, the captain of the home-based Super Eagles, has acknowledged that while his team may not be the favorites to win the upcoming Championship of African Nations (CHAN), they are determined to give their best performance in the competition.

The Nigerian team, which had missed out on previous editions of the tournament, secured their qualification by defeating Ghana’s Black Galaxies 3-1 in the qualifiers.

Despite not being considered the frontrunners, Nduka highlighted other teams such as Morocco, co-hosts Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda as the strong contenders in the competition as he emphasized that the Super Eagles would approach the tournament with respect for their opponents but would not be intimidated by any of them.

furthermore, he expressed confidence in his team’s ability to compete, pointing out that the players were united and ready to showcase their talents on the continental stage as he remains optimistic about the Super Eagles’ chances in the upcoming Championship of African Nations
