CAF U-17 AFCON Draw Set for February 13 in Cairo

February 12, 2025

The final draw for the CAF Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 will be held on February 13 in Cairo and broadcast live on CAF TV, with former Mali international Adama Coulibaly and ex-Senegal star Souleymane Camara as draw assistants. The expanded tournament, running from March 30 to April 19, will feature 16 teams, with a record 10 African nations qualifying for the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar. Despite CAF selecting four third-place finishers from regional qualifiers, Nigeria, a five-time world champion that also placed third in WAFU B, was excluded from the competition.
