Boavista Set €6m Price Tag for Onyemaechi Amid Trabzonspor Interest
Portuguese club Boavista has placed a €6 million price tag on Nigerian international left-back Bruno Onyemaechi, as Turkish giants Trabzonspor show keen interest in securing his services.
According to DAILY POST, the 25-year-old defender, who has 18 months remaining on his contract with Boavista, is reportedly open to a move to Turkey. The potential transfer would mark a new chapter for Onyemaechi, who has spent his entire professional career in Portugal.
Onyemaechi initially joined Boavista on loan from CD Feirense during the 2022/23 season, before making the move permanent the following campaign. This season, the versatile defender has been a standout performer, featuring in 15 league matches, scoring two goals, and providing one assist for the Black and Whites.
Trabzonspor is said to be actively pursuing the Nigerian, aiming to bolster their defensive options. However, the €6 million valuation may pose a hurdle for negotiations as the January transfer window approaches.
Onyemaechi’s potential switch to the Turkish Super Lig could provide a fresh challenge for the player, who has earned recognition for his consistent performances in the Portuguese Primeira Liga.
