Bauchi SUBEB Chairman Sacks Education Supervisors Over Misconduct
The Executive Chairman of the Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board, Alhaji Adamu Muhammad Duguri, has dissolved all education supervisors under the Bauchi Local Government Education Authority over alleged misconduct and lack of patriotism, directing them to return to the classroom. During a monitoring visit to schools outside the metropolis, Duguri also ordered disciplinary actions, including demotions and suspensions, for underperforming staff, while recommending rewards for dedicated personnel. At the same time, Education Secretary, Hajiya Talatu Yakubu, supported the move, noting high turnout in city schools but poor attendance in rural areas, warning that absentee teachers risk salary cuts.
