Australia Dismisses China’s Call to Unite Against U.S. Tariffs

Australia has swiftly dismissed China’s offer to join forces against U.S. tariffs, following Washington’s decision to impose a 10% tax on Australian goods and raise tariffs on Chinese products to 125%. China’s ambassador urged joint resistance through an opinion piece, calling it the only way to counter U.S. pressure. However, Australia made it clear it would act independently, with officials stressing that the country’s focus is on protecting national interests and building stronger trade ties with the EU, India, Indonesia, Britain, and the Middle East.
