At least Three Injured as Fire Engulfs Petrol Tanker in Collision
At least Three individuals were injured in a collision between a tanker loaded with Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and a Toyota Sienna space bus at the Imani roundabout in Maitama, Abuja, on Monday night
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command confirmed the incident in a statement issued by Police Public Relations Officer SP Josephine Adeh.
According to the report, the collision occurred on September 23, 2024, at approximately 7:50 p.m., leading to a fire outbreak. In response, police patrol teams from Maitama, Wuse, and Central Police Station, along with operatives from the Federal Fire Service, were swiftly deployed to the scene.
Authorities worked quickly to rescue victims and extinguish the fire, preventing further damage. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported as a result of the incident. The injured individuals received immediate medical attention, and the situation was brought under control through the combined efforts of the police and fire service personnel.
