Asake Makes History at O2 Arena, Joining Afrobeats Legends Davido, Wizkid
Nigerian artist, Ahmed Ololade popularly known as Asake has recently kicked off a world tour following the release of his third album, ‘Lungu Boy,’ with a standout performance at the iconic O2 Arena.
His concert drew significant attention as he showcased hit songs from the new album, captivating an enthusiastic audience that filled the venue to capacity.
Notable attendees included Grammy-winning artist Wizkid and actor Idris Elba, who made a special appearance to honor Asake with a sold-out plaque.
Elba also presented him with a BRIT silver plaque for his previous album, ‘Work of Art,’ underscoring Asake’s growing prominence in the music industry.
With this recent sold-out show at the O2 Arena, which has a capacity of 20,000, Asake joins the ranks of other successful Nigerian Afrobeats artists like Davido and Wizkid, both of whom have achieved this milestone multiple times.
