APC Chieftain Urges Tinubu to Deploy Drones, Biometric Tech for Border Security
Ambassador Abayomi Mumuni, a prominent APC chieftain, has urged President Bola Tinubu to urgently deploy drones, biometric systems, and modern surveillance tools to secure Nigeria’s porous borders, which he identified as a major contributor to the country’s worsening insecurity. In a letter made public through his media aide, Mumuni stressed that terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and cross-border crimes thrive due to weak border control, and called for a comprehensive strategy involving advanced technology, enhanced security personnel presence, community cooperation, and regional collaboration to curb illegal activities and stabilize the nation.
