While reaffirming its stance against touting, the government emphasized the need for justice, fairness, and human rights, assuring the public that any abuse of power will not be tolerated. The Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, urged the public to verify media content in the digital age, stressing the administration’s commitment to lawful enforcement and the protection of citizens’ dignity.
