Akwa Ibom Polytechnic Students Protest Against Insecurity and Police Brutality

The Students of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua staged a protest on Monday morning against insecurity, extortion, and police brutality. Led by student union President, Comrade Geoffrey George, the students decried frequent attacks by hoodlums and alleged police complicity, citing recent incidents where students were robbed, assaulted, and even killed. In response, the Akwa Ibom State Police Commissioner, Baba Mohammed Azare, invited student representatives for a meeting to address their concerns.
