Ademola Lookman Nominated for Serie A Forward of the Year Award
Nigerian international Ademola Lookman has been nominated for the prestigious Serie A Forward of the Year award at the Gran Gala del Calcio Awards.
Lookman, who plays for Atalanta, is shortlisted alongside Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram, as well as AC Milan’s Rafael Leao.
The 27-year-old has been in scintillating form this season, scoring eight goals and providing five assists in 14 appearances across all competitions. This follows an impressive 2023/2024 season in which he netted 17 goals and contributed 10 assists for Atalanta, cementing his status as one of Serie A’s most dynamic attackers.
Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini is also a contender for the Coach of the Year award, underscoring the club’s strong performances.
Lookman’s recognition extends beyond Italy; he recently finished 14th in the 2024 Ballon d’Or rankings and is widely regarded as the frontrunner for the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.
