18 Dead in Tragic Okolowo Road Accident in Kwara

At least 18 people lost their lives on Wednesday in a fatal accident along the Okolowo-Eiyenkorin road near Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
The tragic incident, confirmed by Officer Aduagba of the Kwara State Road Maintenance Agency (KWARTMA), involved two trailers. All 18 passengers aboard a mini trailer were killed in the collision, while passengers in the other trailer survived. The exact number of survivors remains unknown.
According to reports, the driver of the trailer carrying survivors voluntarily turned himself in at the G Division Police Station in Oloje, Ilorin, shortly after the accident.
Emergency responders, including officials from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), swiftly cleared the accident scene and transported the bodies to an undisclosed morgue.
